Between Line and Structure: A Majestic and Harmonious Residential Design

Creating Independence and Connection for a Large Family

Inspired by the warm atmosphere of a large family, San.O Interior Design used the elements of light, shadow, and line to create a residential design that balances independence and connection. With a focus on vertical and horizontal lines, this design provides separate spaces for each family member while fostering close living and interaction.

The design team at San.O Interior Design has successfully crafted a residential design that stands out with its unique use of light, shadow, and line. By connecting different materials and playing with changes in light and shadow, they have created a majestic and smooth design that exudes a calm and quiet atmosphere. The low saturation colors add to the serenity of the space, while metal embellishments provide subtle texture and ambiance.

The vertical and horizontal lines in the design serve a dual purpose. They not only visually extend the space and invoke natural light, but they also connect the public and private areas of the home. The open plan layout allows for seamless movement between different floors, creating a warm and inviting environment for the entire family.

One of the standout features of this design is the use of Neolith, a 100% natural material, as a replacement for marble. With a thickness of only 3mm, Neolith offers the same texture as stone while being more sustainable and resistant to bacteria and allergens. Additionally, the project incorporates Italian eco-friendly mineral paint, further enhancing the environmentally conscious nature of the design.

Spanning over 991.7 square meters and five floors, this residential design offers ample space for a large family. With eight rooms, a dining room, a living room, and four social halls, each family member has their own private area while still being able to enjoy shared spaces. The layout of the home ensures privacy while maximizing interaction among family members.

The design team at San.O Interior Design has overcome various challenges in bringing this design to life. With the presence of numerous beams and columns, especially on the first floor, they used dark stone veneer and wood panels to visually soften these elements. By lowering the ceiling and strategically using patio and lighting, they created a harmonious and unobtrusive space.

This residential design, aptly named "Between Line and Structure," showcases the meticulous attention to detail and thoughtful approach of San.O Interior Design. The use of low-saturation mineral paint, combined with the design of light bands, creates a calm and stable spatial tone with a textured atmosphere. The interplay of light, shadow, and lines throughout the space adds depth and artistic expression.

San.O Interior Design's "Between Line and Structure" project was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2023 for its outstanding creativity and ingenuity. This prestigious award recognizes designs that incorporate best practices in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to quality of life improvements and making the world a better place.
